<description><![CDATA[I guess it is about time &hellip; Facebook has been going about this since the <a href="/portal/blog_view_27_F8--Change-is-going-to-come.html" name="F8 Summit">F8 summit last year</a>. I do understand that they needed to make sure the application is solid enough with the number of devices that Facebook aims to support, but from a user point of view, I must say, I don&rsquo;t get it. Maybe if I have spent my life on Facebook it might seem interesting to see how a moved through the decades and what I have been interested in as time goes by, however, I find it hard to read through the Timeline of others as a way of identifying who they are. <br />

            <p>By now, we have all either attended , watched, or have  read about the F8 developers conference on Sep 22nd. Although not a fan  of Andy Samberg trying to play Mark Zuckerberg, it was a good way to  layout the foundation of what we can and should expect from Facebook. I  can understand that change is going to happen, well, it is the right  year for it.. But again, why the change&hellip;? Well, those promoting change  will say, change is for the better. In software development, I would  like to say if it not broken no need to fix it.. So what is the purpose  of the change in Facebook?</p>

For a person working in the field of digital marketing, one  would assume that I should support these technologies knowing how  beneficial they are in delivering the right content to the right  person.&nbsp; Which I do support from that perspective, however,&nbsp; I question  the level of targeting currently being deployed and automated to the  point of limiting what we get to see and become aware off although it is  publicly available online.</p>

<description><![CDATA[As I do every year now, I attended Internet World in London&#039;s Earl court. The exhibition attracts just about every SMB looking to get a bite of the digital market and every single agency who can not afford to miss this jungle for hunting clients.&nbsp;<br />
I would say I am a regular and this year the queues to listen to the likes of Google and Facebook are even longer.. <br />

Social media and social networking was the theme this year just like last year. I did not get much out of the exhibition this time, however, few  seminars did catch my attention and got me thinking.. <description><![CDATA[I have recently read a report from Twitter that there are more tweets  from London than in the enitre world including the all mighty USA. I am  not sure what is emerging in the UK to cause that many tweets with only  40million people online. <br />

Another more recent report stated that twitter  is expecting $150 millions from ads revenue in 2011. I guess with that  many tweets many companies are willing to pay $4 per tweet to just show  up their adverts.<br />]]></description>
